Review:
Two boys on their way down the Mississippi River to an island where they find a boat to the tree, but they quickly discover that they are not alone. A mysterious man living on the island, and when they meet her, get her a lot of adventures serious.The framework of this film is the Mississippi River. It dominates this film, because it controls the lives of the main characters in this movie. This is not a film about a small-town America. It is a small town where everyone knows everyone, but most of the action takes place outside the city, the river and into the uninhabited areas in river ecosystems. Two 14 year old boys and their families, river people, making sure their living from the river. Life is hard, but the people are hard working, honest, and inventive. When Mark Twain was now writing, and is not induced to comics, these are the people he writing. In fact, this film is a tribute to Mark Twain, Huckleberry Finn was a childhood friend of Mark Twain's Tom Blankenship, the name of the character in this film is based. Then you will know, this movie is basically a modern update of this genre.The two boys played superbly Ty Sheridan and Jacob Lofland. Their characters are fourteen hardened and matured in their environment. The two actors seem believable and natural roles. Chris Pine was originally considered the role of a mysterious stranger with blue eyes and his young appearance, he seemed to be an attractive and charismatic when he encountered the boys. I bet he wishes he was well prepared for this film. However, the loss of Pines is a non-profit Matthew McConaughey. Robinson Crusoe has never been so. I doubt whether this could be the Pine and McConaughey, who lives in the role. Actor? This guy looks like he has not done anything but live on the river, his life. They believe that he totally live on this island. If there was a Best Food beans Oscar, he would be! Completely convincing performance! All of the shows were great. Not only McConaughey and two sons, but all the supporting actors. At first you're not sure who is who in the family. They seem a little cold, but the film progresses the characters develop. All are plausible. Female roles, there are three, all of which are strong and well developed. The beautiful Reese Witherspoon, star of Legally Blonde, such as Sharon Stone Casino, this shows that they have a dark role. Recently, the actress Bonnie Sturdivant, because the guys have it just right. Older actors were great, Sam Shepard play the role of a certain depth, and it was good to see Joe Don Baker in a small role.All actors played the roles convincingly. As I said, their lives are hard, they are just plain-speaking people, but occasionally a bit laconic home-spun philosophy is to be a said.This the film is beautifully described, a beautiful rich color. The river is lovingly filmed a way of life. The film is a tribute to the life and the river. But when we see the beautiful scenes of the river, we also see the grittier scenes of urban decay and deterioration and waste. The truth is not quite clear, clear as mud, perhaps. Made no real opinion on the truth, or the characters or their decision. Your life is too rich and complex for such a simple verdict.So at the end of the movie, can a 14 year old son has learned something, and others, so you can too. 10/10.
